Our Courses
We currently offer 4-week intro courses in 3 languages. Classes meet once per week. Our 2-hour classes include 1 hour of grammar instruction, a break, then guided conversation practice the rest of the evening.

Drew Lehe, Administrator
Drew's interest in foreign languages inspired him to found an institution where people can enjoy shared cultural experiences in the heart of Birmingham. As a self-taught Italian speaker, he earned his B1 certificate for Italian citizenship and is currently learning French.

Craig Rackley, Spanish Instructor
Craig Rackley has been teaching Spanish in Alabama schools for 27 years and is creator of the Tu-Kan World Languages curriculum that emphasizes a story-based, conversational approach for a more immersive learning experience.
In addition to speaking fluent Norwegian, Craig is also learning French.

Stacy Shannon, French Instructor
Bonjour! Stacy has over 20 years of classroom experience teaching French and is excited to share the world of French with you. She has lived in both Quebec and France.

Harrison Drummonds, Japanese Instructor
Harrison is a graduate of UAB with a degree in Japanese and Spanish, and continues to study other languages. He has traveled extensively through Japan. Harrison's curriculum combines traditional grammar with conversation, while sharing the cultural aspects of Japanese life to students.
